Understand Woobaz

Woobaz gives physical assets a durable identity. This page brings together the main topics to understand registration, verification, certificates, reports, transfer, insurance, partners and authorized authorities.

How does Woobaz work?

A user creates an account, registers an asset, chooses a category, adds known information and links available identifiers. Woobaz generates a registration, a certificate and a verification QR code.

  • Register an asset to give it a stable reference.
  • Attach visible or technical identifiers to strengthen verification.
  • Report a status change: loss, theft, recovery, transfer or update.

Compatible identifiers

Woobaz does not rely on a single type of marking. Depending on the asset, several markers can be used to strengthen the consistency of the record.

  • Manufacturer serial number, IMEI, MAC address or visible identifier.
  • RFID/NFC, microdot, UV marking, QR code or engraving support.
  • Another marker suited to the asset when the category or context justifies it.

Lost or stolen assets

When an asset is reported, its record can guide checks. An authorized authority can consult permitted information, and the owner may receive notifications depending on the actions performed.

Asset transfer

Transfer lets a registered asset be passed to another user with a temporary code. The buyer starts a new history without inheriting the seller private history.

Authorized authorities

The authorities area is controlled. Checks are logged, messaging is secure, and personal data is not displayed publicly.
